Our business is located six miles north of Warwick in the village of Chadwick End.
We are a father and son team and work from a workshop in our garden.
I am a cabinet maker by profession and an amateur entomologist.
After doing my apprenticeship in my early twenties I went on to learn the art of French polishing. I have now just turned fifty and still make cabinets the traditional way - by hand.
You will not find computer CAD drawings in my workshop, I believe you can understand and visualize a cabinet better if you have drawn it from the start by hand. I draw all working drawings and visuals with pencil and pen.
I established Chadwick end cabinets in 2006 and our goal was to produce the very best cabinets at the most reasonable cost. With one of our cabinets you will see beautiful design and feel great quality.
To date, we have built hundreds of cabinets of all kinds, for museums, research institutions, universities, even famous politicians.
My interests are English moths. Although I collected as a child I now prefer to photograph them. I still run a light trap most nights and record my catches before releasing them.
It was only natural for me to make entomological cabinets.
All of our cabinets are handmade and we take great pride in the cabinets we build - but this takes time, so please be patient with us.
